Ground beef is so easy to cook with and easy to freeze. Plus it's really economical. Whenever it is on sale, I stock up on it and keep it in the freezer in my garage.
Below you'll find some of my favorite family meals made from ground beef. Hope you get to try a few!
Hamburger Steak with Country Gravy- tender, seasoned ground beef patties are pan-fried and covered with a creamy, country gravy. Such a hearty and economical meal. Cooks up in under 20 minutes.
Southern Spaghetti Sauce is a thick, flavorful sauce with lots of ground beef, onion, and bell pepper. It has a hint of sweetness to it which really brings out the tomato flavor. Freezes well.
Ground Beef Casserole- A hearty Italian-style casserole of ground beef, egg noodles, and gobs of cheese. π
Crock Pot Spicy Vegetable Beef Soup is a hearty and satisfying soup full of browned ground beef, potatoes, and vegetables in a wonderful tomato broth.
Beef and Bean Burritos are super easy to make and are an economical family meal. The filling can be made ahead of time and it just takes minutes to finish them off.
Instant Pot Creamy Shells and Beef is pure comfort food. This easy Instant Pot dinner recipe is so creamy and cheesy. Pasta shells and ground beef are cooked in a tomato sauce and then Parmesan cheese, cream, and cream cheese get mixed in. A little like homemade Hamburger Helper, only much, much better.
Crock Pot Sloppy Joes are an easy, family-friendly slow cooker meal. Ground beef is slow cooked with tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and spices until supremely flavorful.
Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole is full of macaroni, American cheese, bacon, and ground beef and flavored with a little ketchup, mustard, and dill pickles. It may sound a little strange, but it is crazy delicious!
Sloppy Joe Tater Tot Casserole has all the flavors of Sloppy Joes but with a crunchy and cheesy tater tot topping. It's a quick and easy dinner the kids will love!
These quick and easy Deep Dish Taco Squares make a delicious family meal with lots of South of the Border flavor. It's part casserole, part deep dish pizza and the kids will love it!
