Help Me Grow Maine is a free resource that exists to strengthen Maine communities by connecting families to what they need for their young children. Help Me Grow Maine's Family Support Specialists work with families all over the state via phone, email, and text. Our central access point is a way for all families (including resource, kinship, and adoptive families) of children birth to eight, as well as pregnant families, to reach out and be linked with information, resources, and referrals. Family Support Specialists offer up to 60 days of care coordination, to ensure that families are connected to the services they are seeking.
Help Me Grow Maine also offers free online access to developmental screenings for young children, so caregivers and caseworkers can easily assess how a child is developing for their age. Help Me Grow Maine is a low-barrier resource, requiring no formal referral from a professional (though these are welcomed!), no financial or diagnostic criteria, and no paperwork to complete to receive support.

The resource can also be accessed via our partnership with 211 Maine; option 5 will transfer callers to a Family Support Specialist from Help Me Grow Maine.
