Happy 4th of July week! This is family reunion time in our clan, and everyone is arriving right now up north in Michigan. It's a special time, and a time of lots of FOOD...nearly Thanksgiving-esque, with the conversation and planning and excitement about what will be on the table. There will be kibbeh night (raw, baked, and lots of househ), pizza night, and several nights at the grill. For us, that means one major star on the grill grates each time...
Kebabs! They hold a Lebanese tradition we really enjoy, threading the chicken, beef, or lamb (or shrimp!!) on skewers and enjoying the sizzle as we stand by and visit. I can't wait to catch up with everyone and give (and receive) as many hugs as possible!
Scroll down for all of the kebab recipes to consider, and I'll be back with you this week with lots of ideas for your menus, including salads and sweets.
Bless your hands,
Garlicky Sumac Shrimp.
So fabulous. Consider them for a main dish as well as an appetizer. Really full of flavor and easy to put together.
My back-pocket, no-time and nothing-to-eat eats! Eggs poached in diced tomato sauce. Flavor it up with what you have. Here it's labneh, avocado, cilantro, and za'atar.
