A bogus trucking company stole 80,000 pounds of beef worth $350,000 from a meatpacking plant near Avondale in Grainger County last week.

Two shipments, which were intended to be sent to Kentucky and Michigan, never made it to the customers.

The hauls were subcontracted to a company called "List Trucking Sales," whose contact—identified as "Ahmed Wengy"—has since gone dark.

Police say the drivers’ IDs were never verified, and the company’s info appears to be fake. No arrests have been made.
