Classic Turkey Chili

When it's cold outside, there's nothing more inviting than a big pot of chili simmering on the stove, and this hearty turkey chili always hits the spot. It has a rich, spicy flavor and thick texture, and it's loaded with fiber-rich kidney beans. Since ground turkey is lean and can easily dry out, the recipe uses a genius technique to ensure the meat stays moist. Instead of adding all of the meat at once, a portion of the turkey is sautรฉed in the beginning and cooked low and slow to build flavor. Then, towards the end of the simmering time, the remaining turkey is pinched into small pieces and stirred into the chili, creating chunks of tender turkey in every bite.

Everyday Cornbread

This is the traditional "pan" version of the cornbread muffins I've been baking on the regular since my kids were toddlers. It's one of the few baking recipes I have committed to heart. The cornbread is on the sweet side but not overly so, and it's easy to whip up with very few ingredients.
