⭐️NEW ⭐️GUIDE to SESAME OIL + LUNCH IDEAS + FREEZER RECIPES

Hi there!

Happy Saturday!!

This year, I decided 😆that I would share more about the basics of Korean cooking - including everything you need to know about the most common ingredients used and linking recipes that use them. Also, substitutes if there's any.

I am also going to create as many ingredient pages as I can so that you will be able to look up about an ingredient and learn more about it, how to use and buy them and recipes that use them.

As my first ingredient in 2021, I will share about Korean Sesame Oil (Chamgireum 참기름). I wrote a full guide post about the basic knowledge, how to use, store and also which is the best brand to buy. Oh and I also share about known health benefits. Can you read it and let me know in the comment section of the post what additional things you would like me to include going forward?

In the Sesame Oil post, I also share how to make the world's simplest Egg Rice Bowl - so you need to check that out!

3 in 1 FREEZER Kimchi Recipes

Did you know you can saute some sour kimchi and pork then freeze them to make Kimchi Fried Rice, Kimchi Stew, Kimchi Tofu later when you need it? It's a great way to use up over ripened sour kimchi and to make your everyday cooking quick and easy.

Here are 2 great recipes that I love to make together!

Spicy Braised Pork Ribs (Dweji Kalbi Jorim) and Apple Onion Celery Salad (bottom right) are a wonderful combination of salty+spicy & creamy+tangy+sweet. Serve with a bowl of rice and kimchi and you will be HAPPY!! I have both a stove top and Instant Pot version!

This is a special dish in my family and not commonly made. It's crazy simple ingredients but oh once you make it, you probably can't stop yourself from making it again. It's a bit on the salty side but you won't regret it.💕👍 Use shishito peppers if you don't want it to be crazy spicy. Use more hotter peppers like Korean green chili or Jalapenos if you like it SPICY! 🌶🌶

Apple Onion Celery Salad is a really simple, less than 10 min salad that you can make. Apple and pork always go really well together and this salad adds a great fresh and bright note to your meal.

Did I tell you that Spock ran away 6 times in the 1st year that we rescued him? One time I had to run after him in my pajamas..🏃‍♀️😴 😵..aye..

and now, I can't even do yoga without him bothering me..😝
