Latest updates to Companies House services We've rounded up all the latest updates as we continue to maintain services for our customers and protect the welfare of our employees in response to coronavirus (COVID-19). The government has launched 3 consultations to crack down on fraud and improve corporate transparency. These further consultations follow the publication in September of the government's wider plan to reform the Companies House register. Read the 3 consultations: The closing date for these consultations is 3 February, so please take this opportunity to have your say. We have reduced numbers in our offices following government coronavirus guidance and it's taking much longer than usual to process paper documents, forms and letters sent to us by post. Use our online services to make sure your information, such as your confirmation statement, is processed on time. See a full list of Companies House documents you can file online, and visit our YouTube channel to see all of our how to videos. We've also developed a service to Upload a document to Companies House instead of sending a paper document by post. The UK has left the EU customs union and single market and now enjoys a zero tariffs, zero quotas relationship with the EU as an independent trading nation. There are new rules for businesses and you should act now to comply with these new rules. Visit gov.uk/transition and use the checker tool to quickly identify and sign up to receive updates on the actions that your business needs to take. You can also sign up to receive the regular Business Readiness Transition Bulletin. Some companies now have 3 months to supply additional information to Companies House. These are: - EEA companies which have registered under the Overseas Companies Regulations
- Overseas companies with a UK or EEA registered corporate director or secretary
- UK companies with a director or secretary which is not a UK registered limited company

Additional dissolved records (all companies dissolved since 2010) will be put back onto CHS from January 2021. Following the government response to the corporate transparency and register reform consultation, we've published guidance on dissolved records to outline our approach.
