It's the zestiest time of the year! It's citrus season! And you all know how much I look forward to this time every year. I know we can get oranges and lemons and limes all year but their flavor is so much more comforting in the winter. This is also the time of year during which all the more exotic citrus varieties pop up in our grocery stores and specialty shops: Meyer lemons, clementines, pomelos, kumquats, blood oranges, to name a few! And so, every winter, I feel like I absolutely must make the most of the citrus bounty. I mean, who can resist these vivid, tropical colors and bold, bright flavors in the midst of a long, cold northern hemisphere winter? They certainly make my January days more colorful! Chunky Citrus Guacamole Guacamole is hands down one of the easiest dips you can make at home and it tastes so much better when you do! This colorful Chunky Citrus Guacamole will jolt your tastebuds awake from their winter snooze with its mix of oranges and grapefruits and some generous spritzes of lime and orange juice. We may not be having parties right now but you can still serve this guac up with tortilla chips or spread on toasted baguette rounds for an easy snack for movie night or family game night. Or make a batch up before tuning into a sports game. Making homemade guacamole is so simple you'll never buy it again! | | Share your creations with me!
