For my entire life — before I shined it up to share on Iowa Girl Eats — it went by the name "Judy's Baked Beans". We have no idea who Judy is or how we got the recipe (maybe an old church cookbook?!) but I've been eating these beans every single summer since I was a child. Creamy, a little sweet, deeply savory, and did I mention the ketchup-slathered layer of caramelized bacon on top?!
