The Best Baked Beans Ever is one of those recipes. For my entire life — before I shined it up to share on Iowa Girl Eats — it went by the name "Judy's Baked Beans".
We have no idea who Judy is or how we got the recipe (maybe an old church cookbook?!) but I've been eating these beans every single summer since I was a child.
Creamy, a little sweet, deeply savory, and did I mention the ketchup-slathered layer of caramelized bacon on top?!
No summer get together, BBQ, or holiday would be complete without them, and I HIGHLY recommend you save a spot for these bubbling baked beans on your 4th of July menu!
