The hot days of summer are truly upon us and I've been making smoothies on repeat lately. This week we're sharing our favorite (and so popualr on google) Piña Colada Smoothie. This smoothie is the perfect summer smoothie, you can pack it with protein and take yourself on that tropical vacation you've been dreaming about. Need I say more? Enjoy!
Pineapple Chunks: use frozen pineapple for a thick, creamy texture.
Coconut Milk: I use organic lite unsweetened coconut milk. You can use a carton or a can.
Honey: my natural sweetener of choice. You can omit it if you'd like!
Flaxseed, Chia Seeds, or Hemp Hearts: you can use one, two, or all three of these ingredients to give the smoothie a boost of fiber and added nutrients.
Coconut Oil: you can't go wrong with a little healthy fat and some extra coconut flavor.
Optional Protein Powder: If using, go for vanilla or unsweetened.
Hot Tips: add more protein by topping with a scoop of Greek yogurt or blending in for a creamier smoothie; you can add another scoop of protein powder if you wish!
