Click here  Monday, 24 July 2023 MEDIA ADVISORY Launch of WHO Report on the global tobacco epidemic On Monday, July 31, at 12:30 Geneva time, WHO will release the ninth Report on the global tobacco epidemic. This year's report tracks countries' progress on tobacco control and includes a special focus on smoke-free spaces. It showcases global statistics on every country's tobacco policies and will announce two new countries that have reached the highest level of tobacco control with eight countries just one policy away. It also shows how many governments protect people from second-hand smoke by banning smoking in all public spaces and transit systems, workplaces, restaurants, and healthcare settings. The embargoed copies of the Report and accompanying press release will be available on Wednesday.
