| Hello reader Do you have a favourite season? If so, what is it? I suspect you can probably tell that mine is spring. I just love the freshness in the air, the birdsong, the burgeoning green growth, the flowers and the promise of things to come. I always feel at my most energetic at this time of year. Not that you need much in the way of energy to make this week's recipe. If you have an electric mixer, it's suprisingly quick and easy. If you haven't tried making your own butter before, perhaps you'll head over to my post on how to make your own butter and give it a go. It's quite a fun activity and definitely a satisfying one. Actually I've given you two recipes for the price of one. I've also included a recipe to use up the buttermilk produced by the butter making process. It's not a particularly exciting recipe, but it is a good one and very tasty too. Making butter in a jar by shaking it a lot is something many of us did as kids, but I for one never knew about the marble trick. Stick a marble in your jar of cream and it sort of acts like a whisk, thus speeding up the process and giving you less arm ache. I'd love to know if you've tried it.
BTW, do let me know if there's anything you'd like me to cover on the blog. I can't make any promises, but I'm always happy to consider suggestions. Popular posts this week are mostly seasonal ones and include: Keep cooking and stay safe.

P.S. Please do let me know if you make any of my recipes and don't forget to star rate them. It really helps to make them more visible on search engines. I especially appreciate questions or feedback via comments on the blog posts. |
