My 4 kitchen essentials | Recent FAVOURITE books, shows, podcasts & eats | NEW! Kitchen find
Hello, Last weekend I felt the first true signs of spring, warm sunshine of my face, a few daffodils coming out, a sense of brighter times and wow it felt good. We've got a very exciting month ahead with the launch of our Plants brand and I'm truly steeped in optimism for the year. In light of that I've been leaning into feel good programs and lots of time in the kitchen to give myself a little extra nourishment. Here's what I've been loving... | |
| This must be the no.1 question for twelve years now, so here goes. I keep it simple, I don't love gadgets and gizmos. | | | I use this almost every day. It's small, easy to clean and adds huge flavour to my cooking. It's perfect for dressings, pesto, hummus, and perfectly thick, spoon-able smoothie bowls. It also chops veg in seconds. If I could only have one gadget I'd have this. The blade won't make drinkable smoothies and it's not strong enough to make recipes like nut butters but for day-to-day cooking it's ideal. | I've used this for almost ten years, still love it. It's compact, reliable and efficient, it makes everything brilliantly smooth. Just never put anything boiling hot in it, it has a reputation for exploding! I use a stick blender for soups instead. | | | I bought my one eleven years ago, it was the first kitchen gadget I bought and I'm still using the same one. If you want to make snacks, like energy balls, homemade nut butters, or big batches of recipes like veggie burgers, this is great. | A great slow juicer. I go in phases of making juices but I'm a huge fan of the machine. For a juicer it's easy to clean, relatively small and easy to store and makes a great quality product, it's also pretty quiet. | I've just discovered this company and fallen in love with everything they make, the most beautiful ceramics from Puglia in Italy. The espresso cups are next on my wish list | A brilliant, very honest documentary on Netflix about mental health, it's a simple show that delivers a big message about the simple, actionable steps we can all take to better support our wellbeing. 10/10 recommend if you want to feel inspired and empowered. | It's launching next week, and let me tell you it's made all my dreams come true! I used to be a Nutella addict and have always wanted a healthier version of my old-favourite, and now I have one. I can't wait for you to try it. | I added this to the Wellness Edit last week but I couldn't not include it in here. It's so good that I'm reading it for the second time this year already. There's more wisdom in this book than almost anything else I've read. It feels like the antidote for our stressful world and just reading a few pages a night will help you carve out peace, headspace and a new view on the world. | Three phenomenal women who will leave you feeling like you too can take on the world, showing simple, actionable steps to the life you want. | Just five minutes of consciously telling myself that I believe in myself, that I value and respect myself and that I believe in optimism and positivity makes all the difference. The shift in mindset ripples through my day, and I can honestly say nothing has changed my mental wellbeing more than daily affirmations. I've recorded the seven series that I use on a day-to-day basis so that you can do them too. | If you want to unsubscribe from our mailing list, click here Floor 1, 250 Tottenham Court Road, London W1T 7QZ | | |
