Honestly, There Is No "Best Grill" |
It's the first week of July, which means the smells of charcoal and charred meat are starting to settle into a seasonal holding pattern over my neighborhood and probably yours as well. And one thing I've learned after testing grills for a couple years is that people are particular about what they cook on. Even if they're not Hank Hill extreme, people who like gas like gas. People who swear by the convenience of pellets really swear by it. And people who insist any fire you aren't actively tending is a form of cheating are...a lot of fun at parties. But the truth is the right grill for you is the one that fits whatever your lifestyle is right now. That may sound like a copout, but I took a lot of pride in cooking with an offset smoker. But once my second kid hit an age at which she was sleeping less and playing more, I didn't have time to spend hours managing a cook. I've been using pellets for the last year and it's been great. If you click on through here you'll find our big grill explainer that can hopefully help you figure out what kind of cooking will work best for you. Of course, if you already know, you can check out our favorites across a bunch of different categories below. —Noah Kaufman |
