Tomorrow, April 1, is Major League Baseball Opening Day (no foolin'). April 4-10 is Library Week. April 7 is National Beer Day.  April is Community College Month.

Major League Baseball Opening Day: April 1

The 2019 Population Estimates of the 25 Metro Areas with MLB teams found the largest is New York with 19,216,182 and the smallest is Milwaukee with 1,575,179 - about 1/12th the size. Read the America Counts story: Major League Baseball Is Back April 1 (No Foolin').

National Library Week: April 4-10

The 2019 American Community Survey estimated 139,287 full-time librarians and media collections specialists. There are a total of 116,867 libraries in the United States.

National Beer Day: April 7

The 2018 County Business Patterns program counted 3,884 breweries with 74,561 employees and $3.2B annual payroll. The Annual Survey of Manufactures had sales at 29.9B.

Community College

Community College Month: April

In 2019, the Current Population Survey estimated the number of college students enrolled in two-year institutions was 4.3 million, a 25% decrease from 5.7 million in 2011.
