| DeWine Signs Budget; Issues Record Vetoes Gov. Mike DeWine signed Ohio's $60 billion state budget late Monday that creates a 2.75% flat income tax and provides funding for a new Cleveland Browns stadium. The new tax rate applies to residents earning more than $26,050 annually. Ohioans making less than that amount will continue to not pay any state income tax. DeWine issued 67 line-item vetoes, the most of his tenure. Notable vetoes included restrictions on LGBTQ-related library books, expansion of private school vouchers, and limits on the state's clean water program. | 107-Worker Marion Plant to Close Tennessee-based International Paper will close its Marion plant on Sept. 1, resulting in the loss of 107 jobs.
