This Simple Cake Recipe Is Healthy Enough To Eat For Breakfast!

Doesn't dessert for breakfast sound like an awesome way to wake up? If you think so, too, you have to give my health-ified Date and Walnut Cake a try. Made entirely with whole wheat flour for an added boost of fiber, studded with crunchy walnuts and sweet dates, made dairy-free by using almond milk and coffee (for an added caffeinated boost), this eggless cake is as simple to pull off as any quick bread.

Even kitchen novices will have great success with this tried-and-true recipe for my date cake. It is tender, sweet, and perfect for serving with a cup of coffee or tea either first thing in the morning or last thing before you go to bed. Best of all, it takes just 10 basic ingredients and all of 20 minutes worth of prep time to get it in the oven, meaning you can even make it in the midst of your workweek.
