HSE's Safe Net Zero solutions integrate health and safety into the development and deployment of the new and novel technologies underpinning the UK's decarbonisation activities. Here's a round up of our latest news. | HSE Research and Consultancy is hosting a free webinar entitled 'Hydrogen Safety – Achieving Safe Net Zero'. Join us on 29th July at 10:30am to hear HSE's experts talk about our work demonstrating hydrogen's potential to safely decarbonise and achieve net zero. Whether you are interested in understanding the basics, or hearing about our work on novel applications in power, heat and transport, you will learn how HSE's science and research is helping society transit from small demonstration today, through to the full scale deployment that will be required in the future. Keep subscribed and follow us on LinkedIn to receive further details on how to secure your free place. HSE scientists are among a number of key speakers accepted to present at this year's prestigious International Conference on Hydrogen Safety (ICHS). The 2021 conference, entitled Safe Hydrogen for Net Zero, will bring together internationally renowned keynote speakers with expertise in hydrogen and its applications to present and discuss new findings, information and data on hydrogen safety covering a wide range of areas: from basic to applied research, development, risk assessment, standardisation and regulations. The conference takes place 21 to 24 September 2021 online. In addition to the conference itself, there will be a virtual exhibition and networking space. Visit the ICHS website for further details about the conference programme and to book your place. HSE first started working in hydrogen technology participating in a number of pioneering European Union (EU) projects that investigated the use of hydrogen in transport applications and its associated infrastructure. Since then, HSE scientists have gone on to establish an impressive portfolio of extensive and world-leading hydrogen research. HSE's Annual Science Review showcases some of our most recent projects including our work into the safe use of liquid hydrogen. Read our 2021 Annual Science Review here |
