Hi —
One of my favorite things about this time of year is baking holiday treats. Whether it's cookies, cakes, cobblers, or pies, spending time in the kitchen (and the deliciousness that follows!) makes everything feel more festive.
But, which recipes to make?! While I like to vary it up sometimes, there are a handful of recipes that are always on my must-make list, because they are THAT GOOD. The 8 recipes below are the best of the best! Save them to your baking bucket list today!
CHOCOLATE GINGER COOKIES. This is my favorite Christmas cookie! They're thick, chewy, and have scrumptious melty puddles of chocolate. One reader said: "I made these yesterday afternoon, and they were incredible! Nice and chewy, extra gingery, and yummy. Thank you for creating such a special and versatile recipe!"
CANDY CANE SNOWBALL COOKIES. Melt-in-your-mouth cookies topped with white chocolate and crushed peppermints. They're perfect for the holidays! One reader said: "These are a new family favorite!"
PUMPKIN SHEET CAKE. Readers LOVE this moist, flavorful cake with creamy icing! It's the best dessert for pumpkin lovers. One reader said: "I made four of these last week for a large gathering, and they were a huge hit! Perfect for a potluck and was easy to double if you are looking to feed a crowd.Turned out great!"
BISCUIT CINNAMON ROLLS. Easier than traditional cinnamon rolls, but with the same wonderful flavors, these are the most fluffy, buttery, and scrumptious breakfast treats you'll ever make! One reader said: "Delicious!!! We (my kids and I) made them today for a special Sunday treat. Very easy, and it was nice not to have to knead the dough or wait for it to rise. Plus, they were light and flaky, not too sweet. Yum!! Will definitely be making these again!"
PUMPKIN PECAN COBBLER. Two of your favorite flavors wrapped into one easy dessert! It makes its own hot caramel sauce in the pan while it bakes. One reader said: "OMG OMG OMG! This turned out beautifully! I think I just found my new favorite holiday thing! Thank you!"
HASSELBACK APPLES. Sliced apple is topped with buttery cinnamon oat streusel and baked until golden. An easy, healthy, and delicious dessert! One reader said: "Have made these twice for my family, and they all loved them! Even my eleven-year-old grandson who wasn't interested at first came back for more. Not as time consuming or as many calories as apple pie but looks just as beautiful!"
ANDES MINT COOKIES. The most tasty thick, soft, and chewy cookies. Adding Andes Mint pieces gives them classic holiday sparkle. One reader said: "These are delicious! The recipe was easy to follow, and my cookies turned out perfectly!"
BROWN BUTTER PEANUT BUTTER BLOSSOM COOKIES. A holiday baking favorite. These are the most delicious and soft peanut butter blossoms you will ever taste! One reader said: "I made this for a friend of mine, and she loved them! She said they were the best cookies she had ever had! I tried a few myself, and they were delicious! The melting chocolate mixed with the warm, creamy peanut butter is a very good treat for any occasion!"
