Today's sponsor, the International Mission Board, is preparing to share the Gospel with visitors from around the world during the upcoming World Cup by equipping outreach teams with resources, discipleship tools, and opportunities to engage people who may never have encountered Christianity freely in their home countries.
Thank you for your consideration of our sponsors.
The Just The Truth Team
Dear Friend,
Imagine growing up in a country where owning a Bible is illegal.
Where the name of Jesus is not spoken in public. Where choosing to follow Christ could cost you your family, your job, or your freedom. Where a missionary can’t get a visa.
For millions of people, this is not a hypothetical. It is everyday life.
This summer, many of them are coming to the World Cup.
They are coming to cheer for their national team and experience something larger than themselves. When they arrive in cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, they will step into something they never experienced before — a place where someone can walk up to them, hand them a Gospel of John in their language, and tell them about Jesus without anyone stopping it.
This moment is what we are preparing for.
IMB teams will be on the ground in Fan Zones and near stadiums throughout the tournament. Trained volunteers will be ready to have conversations, distribute resources, and connect fans with digital discipleship tools in their language that they can take home — back to countries where that kind of follow-up would otherwise be impossible.
For some of these fans, this will be the only time in their lives they are handed the gospel freely.
We cannot show up unprepared.
You can help us be ready by giving a gift today.
Here is what your gift does:
- $25 — 200 evangelism tracts placed directly into the hands of fans
- $50 — 25 soccer patches for sparking evangelistic conversations
- $100 — 100 Gospel of John booklets
- $250 — Rents an English Club outreach location where fans can hear the gospel in a welcoming space
At the Paris Olympics and the Winter Olympics, this approach worked. Thousands of spiritual conversations occurred. Tens of thousands of New Testaments were distributed. People made commitments to Christ during conversations with our teams. People interested in the gospel connected with discipleship tools that followed them home to their own countries.
The World Cup is far-reaching. The opportunity to connect with people who have never had access to hear the gospel is greater than anything we have seen at a single event.
But only if we are there, fully funded and fully prepared.
Will you give today to ensure our teams are on the ground and ready for the World Cup?
Grateful for you,
Angie Shepherd
