Well, what a week. If you read last Friday's email, I mentioned I had surgery, so I spent the entire week on bed rest/house-rest. For The Good List today, I decided to share some things that made things more comfortable and enjoyable for me.
I'm doing well now and am moving around and slowly getting back to my normal activities. I hope to be back in the kitchen soon making new recipes and fun videos for you, but I'm smart enough to not overdo it too soon. I've been intentionally resting and easing back into life while everything heals. That's not something that comes naturally to me so forced rest is probably a good thing!
Enjoy your weekend and hope you get to eat something delicious!
xo, Sara
PS Normally at this point I share things I've made during the week, but I've obviously cooked nothing! I've had wonderful friends and neighbors bless my family with meals, snacks, and treats, once again affirming that food is a universal love language, and I'm so grateful for that!
The Good List is where I share the food, finds, and everyday favorites I'd tell you about if you were sitting at my kitchen counter!
I'm going to tell you from the get-go that these blankets are ridiculously overpriced so promise me you won't buy one unless it's on sale or you use a discount code! There is ALWAYS a sale or code. Okay that being said, this really is the best blanket in all the land. I've spent the last 8 days wrapped up in mine while I've been laid up on my bed recovering. Most of my kids have their own now, too. I love that they have a little stretch to them so they kind of hug you back!
My friend Emily dropped a cute gift at my door this week and inside was a watercolor book by Emily Lex Studio and a set of paints. She knew I'd be sitting around a lot and gave me something to do, which was so thoughtful! I've seen these watercolor workbooks all over and always wanted one. This is such a great gift idea from kids to adults, or just something fun for yourself. Each page is on high quality watercolor paper and has a sketch already on it with a little painting tutorial. They come in all different themes and are so darling. I've had so much fun with it. Find them on her website, or on Amazon!
I had to give up caffeine cold turkey before my surgery and I've been hesitant to re-introduce it even now that I got the ok. I've been enjoying caffeine-free fizzies to stay hydrated and for a girl who will buy a product purely based off aesethics, these cans are so cute and they taste good too! I don't even watch Love Island but I do like the nostalgic flavor of Hawaiian punch.
This was another surprise drop-off, from my friend Genevieve. A Trader Joes bag on my porch with a few snacks, a sweet note, and some sunflowers. (Yes I have the best friends!) These Cashews are dangerously good. Like, so good. Grab a bag on your next TJ's run and don't be mad at me if you eat them all on the drive home.
I think I may have even shared this one before, but it's a favorite. I spent a lot of time in my bed this past week so I did my best to make it a cozy retreat. I keep one of these inexpensive room sprays in my nightstand and give my space a little spritz every morning. This geranium scent is my favorite!
Some product links may be affiliate links, which simply means I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them. That said, nothing on The Good List is ever sponsored or part of a brand partnership - these are all things I buy myself and love enough to share with my friends (that’s you!)
