There was a time when busy mornings almost always meant grabbing something from the drive-thru - even during the summer! It felt quick and easy in the moment, but it added up fast - in money, calories, and just feeling like I was starting the day off rushed.
Once I started keeping freezer breakfasts ready to go, mornings got so much easier.
These are the two recipes I’d start with if you want a hot, filling breakfast ready in minutes.
These make-ahead sausage and egg breakfast burritos are filled with eggs, breakfast sausage, salsa, and cheese, then wrapped in a tortilla so they’re easy to grab, heat, and eat.
I love these because you can make a batch once and have breakfast ready for the week. Keep a few in the refrigerator or freeze the rest for later.
These freezer breakfast sandwiches are another one of my favorite make-ahead breakfasts.
They’re made with eggs, bacon, cheese, and English muffins, and they taste like the kind of breakfast sandwich you’d grab on the go - only made at home with ingredients you choose.
You can store a few in the refrigerator for the week or freeze a full batch so breakfast is always ready when you need it.
The goal is to have a few easy options ready so you’re not starting the the day skipping breakfast, or pulling into the drive-thru because there’s nothing quick at home.
Start with the burritos or sandwiches this week, and your future mornings will thank you.
