Hi reader,
If burgers are on the menu this weekend, these are the four recipes I’d start with.
This week, I shared some of my favorite burger recipes — and honestly, each one has a completely different reason to love it.
Some are perfect when you need a simple, juicy burger recipe. Some are fun specialty burgers you’d usually see at the grocery store for a small fortune. And one is the homemade beef burger recipe that basically ruined restaurant burgers for us.
So whether you’re grilling for Father’s Day, making an easy summer dinner, or just want something simple and delicious, here are the four burgers I’d put on the menu this weekend.
My Favorite Tools for Burger Season
You definitely don’t need a lot of fancy tools to make great burgers at home, but there are a few things I reach for again and again during grilling season.
If you want to make burgers more often, these are the three tools I’d start with:
1. A cast iron grill pan. If you don’t have an outdoor grill, a grill pan is such a great tool to have in your kitchen. I use mine all the time for burgers, chicken, vegetables, wraps, and anything I want to cook with that grilled flavor. Honestly, I use my grill pan even when I do have access to the outdoor grill because it’s quick, easy, and works year-round. I love this one.
2. A good set of grill tools. A sturdy spatula and tongs make grilling so much easier, especially when you’re cooking burgers outside. I use my grill tools mostly for outdoor grilling, but I’ve definitely grabbed them for indoor grilling too. They also make a great Father’s Day gift because they’re useful, practical, and something that will actually get used all summer. We got these last year and love them!
3. An instant-read meat thermometer. This comes in handy all the time, especially with chicken, turkey, and beef burgers. It takes the guessing out of grilling and helps you make sure everything is cooked safely without overcooking it. This is a good one with great reviews.
Side Dishes to Serve With Burgers
These burgers are delicious with all the classic burger sides, especially if you want to keep things fresh, easy, and meal-prep friendly.
