We've arrived at the part of our decluttering journey where the outboxes we created on day one are now full of items we are willing to part with (the donate and sell boxes) or need more time to think about (the maybe box). Today we'll tackle the "maybe" box using a simple yet effective strategy: the "box and banish" method. This method is a decluttering strategy in which you fill up an empty box with items you're unsure of keeping or letting go. When the box is full, you'll close it and put it away for six weeks. During this time, if you remember anything you want or need back, you can grab it. Once six weeks have passed, you'll get rid of everything remaining in the box. |
