Delicious favorites for 4th and all weekend (and summer) long.
| Let's head into the 4th weekend with some excellent (and easy) salad recipes to make each day with whatever you're throwing on the grill or in the oven. On the table here: | | Fattoush. I want this crunchy, fresh salad every day, and especially when my crew is together. It includes spices of dried mint and sumac, plus pomegranate molasses, lemon and garlic for full flavor. Romaine, mint, radish, red onion. | | | Tabbouleh. Just insanely good. Tabbouleh is a mix of parsley, mint, tomatoes, onion, all finely chopped with soaked fine bulgur and a lemony dressing. Add diced avocado for that buttery richness it brings. | | | Village Salad. No greens here--a beautiful mix of cucumber, tomato, onion, herbs, and . . . apple! The vinaigrette includes honey and mint. | | | Chickpea Feta. Such a picnic and cookout hero. This salad can sit at room temp and tastes great that way. | | | Couscous Salad. Larger pearl couscous (a form of pasta) is so pretty and delicious with some fresh veggies and olives. | | | New Potato Salad. The potatoes are roasted, crispy outside, creamy inside. A lemony vinaigrette, shower of mint, good to go. | The ingredients that make the recipes so good: Good EVOO We love supporting Lebanese makers and their world-class olive oils. | | The Fattoush Kit. Everything but the fresh ingredients. | Pomegranate Molasses. This belongs in salads! | | Leb Spice Shelf. Flavor at-the-ready. | Raw Honey. For the Village Salad and so much more! From Lebanon. | | Fine Bulgur. The fine grain for tabbouleh needs just a quick soak to soften. | | |
