Top tech leadership, including Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, join representatives from U.S. labor and civil society organizations, as well as national security experts, on Capitol Hill in Washington today for the AI Insight Forum. U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer convened the meeting to inform how Congress should approach regulating artificial intelligence.
"This is sort of an important and urgent and in some ways unprecedented moment," OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said before the session began. "And that I think we really need the government to lead."
