More Data Updates

Cold-related illness

Cold-related illness has been updated in a new, more interactive format.

Exposure to cold temperatures, winter weather conditions, or cold water can have negative impacts on your health. While these health problems are most likely at very cold temperatures, they can occur even at cool temperatures (above 40°F) if a person becomes cold from wind, rain, sweat, or cold water.  Learn more Cold-related Illness.

Heat-related illness

Heat events - prolonged periods of hot weather - cause more deaths than any other natural disaster. Heat-related illness encompasses many health problems such as: dehydration, heat stress, heat exhaustion. Heat also can worsen existing chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and/or respiratory conditions. Learn more about heat-related illness.

Oral Health - National Survey of Children's Health

The National Survey of Children's Health is a survey of parent(s)/guardian(s) with non-institutionalized children under age 18. From these data, the MDH Oral Health Program analyzed the prevalence of children's oral health problems by sex, age group, race and ethnicity and special health care needs of the child.
