| The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing the Expediting Innovation of Bioelectronic Implants for Vision Restoration Workshop, co-sponsored with the University of Pittsburgh. The purpose of this workshop is to provide a forum for all stakeholders to share their perspectives on the safety and effectiveness of bioelectronic implants for vision restoration. All stakeholders including patients, clinicians, device manufacturers, regulators, and professional societies are welcome to attend. Registration is required. - Virtual Workshop Date: October 24-25, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. ET
- Location: The meeting will be held by webcast only
- Registration Deadline: October 20, 2022, by 4:00 p.m. ET
Important Deadlines - August 19: Submit suggestions for discussion topics to be included in workshop agenda
- October 10: Request special accommodations for the virtual public workshop.
- October 20: Register to attend the virtual public workshop.
- November 22: Submit written comments to the docket (FDA-2022-N-1542).
