I've been freezing recipes for over a decade - everything from casseroles to bananas. Why I never thought to freeze avocados until now, I can't explain!
We eat a lot of avocados. I can thank TikTok for the avocado toast craze because my kids are always begging me to buy avocados.
It could be worse - Tik Tok could start a cotton candy toast craze! Please don't. Anyway, my kids are eating healthy avocados, so I'm not going to complain.
The issue with avocados is they spoil quickly, and there is a short window between a ripe and rotten avocado.
I hate to admit it, but I've missed that window of opportunity many times and have thrown away too many expensive avocados.
Not anymore, because you can freeze avocados. Believe it or not, I became aware of this when I was grocery shopping and saw frozen avocado slices in the freezer section, and I had no idea!
