According to the 2018 American Community Survey (ACS), there were 26,624 music directors and composers, and 50,740 musicians and singers in the United States.

Pi Day: March 14

The first six digits of pi (ฯ€) are 3.14159, which means a good time to celebrate on March 14 (3/14) is 1:59 p.m. Pi is infinitely long, a never-ending number.

National Potato Chip Day: March 14

The value of shipments of potato chips and sticks, plain and flavored, totaled $9.1B in 2017 according to the Economic Census. Number of establishments was 212.

President Johnson signed into law the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act on July 4, 1966. The American Society of News Editors launched Sunshine Week in 2005.
