National Puppy Day – March 23

National Puppy Day

Do you have a cute furball at home or are looking to adopt one? National Puppy Day was established in 2006. It was designed to raise awareness about puppy mills and to help encourage prospective pet owners to consider adoption. Today is a pawsome day to celebrate our lovable four-legged friends! Have students explore our State Facts for Students data tool to find out how many pet stores are in each state.
