My Meal Plan + Weekly Recap (March 22nd)

Hey there reader,

I'm sorry this newsletter is a day late. Yesterday, I was busy from the moment I woke up until the moment I crashed.

My husband and I went for a long walk in the morning, and then I spent time preparing meals for the week. Then I went into cleaning and "getting ready for the week" mode. If I don't start Monday with laundry and meal prep "somewhat" done, I feel like I'm playing catch up all week.

To be honest, I'm so busy with work I don't have time to worry about meals at all during the week. All I want to do is heat and eat.

Having it ready helps me stick to an eating plan, but my stress is also significantly reduced. Nobody wants a stressed-out Tammy during the week; it's not a pretty sight.

Anyway, I feel good today and ready to take on the week.

Let's do a quick recap of last week's goals.

I did awesome with exercise and finally feel like I'm back into the routine. I did four days of cardio and exercise routines. I follow the exercise routines in my 30-day Workbook.

Then Mike and I went for a 3.5-mile walk Saturday and Sunday morning. So, technically I got in 6 days of exercise.

My eating habits were hit and miss last week. Of course, during the week was easier because I have my routines.

However, Friday night, we had my dad's 70th birthday party with cake and pizza. Party mode spilled into the weekend and I tried to stay within my calories, but I'm positive I didn't.

This week I'm going to get back on track with calorie counting and portion control because, as we all know, we can't exercise away a bad diet.

Here's my meal plan for the week.

Breakfast

Blueberry Detox Smoothie

Lunch

Protein Power Mason Jar Salad

Dinner

I'm still working through some freezer meals this week, but I'm going to throw in some easy weeknight meals too.

Turkey Burgers with roasted potatoes and steamed broccoli

Steak Fajitas

Pita Pizzas

Shrimp Fried Rice - I have this in the freezer

Buffalo Chicken Macaroni and Cheese/buffalo chicken wraps - I have shredded buffalo chicken in the freezer that I'll use for either of these recipes.

Okay, that's it for this week!

Let's get to the newsletter.
