Today’s smoothie is my: Blueberry Cherry Smoothie.
This one is simple, refreshing, and filled with antioxidant-rich blueberries and cherries.
It’s made with frozen dark sweet cherries, frozen blueberries, baby spinach, banana, chia seeds, and unsweetened coconut milk.
It’s sweet, creamy, and such an easy smoothie to keep in your morning routine.
I love recipes like this because they don’t require a ton of ingredients, and they still help you get in fruit, greens, fiber, and nutrients early in the day.
That’s what makes smoothies such a game changer. They make healthy mornings easier.
Since we’ve been talking about smoothies all week, I wanted to recap some of the best tips to help you make this habit work.
Tip 1: Start simple.
You don’t need 20 ingredients. A great smoothie can be as simple as fruit, greens, banana, liquid, and chia seeds.
Tip 2: Use baby spinach.
It has a mild flavor and blends easily, making it perfect if you’re new to green smoothies.
Tip 3: Use frozen fruit.
Frozen fruit keeps smoothies cold and creamy, helps cut down on prep, and prevents fruit from spoiling.
Tip 4: Make smoothie freezer kits.
Prep the ingredients ahead of time so all you have to do in the morning is dump, add liquid, and blend.
Tip 5: Add something filling.
Chia seeds, nut butter, protein powder, collagen, or coconut milk can help make your smoothie more satisfying.
Tip 6: Clean the blender right away.
This sounds simple, but it matters. When your blender is clean and ready, it’s so much easier to make another smoothie the next morning.
