Hey reader!
Today’s smoothie recipe is one of those smoothies that makes you feel like you’re on vacation. My Tropical Smoothie.
This one is creamy, refreshing, and has that pineapple-mango flavor that feels bright and delicious first thing in the morning.
It’s made with frozen pineapple, frozen mango, banana, baby spinach, chia seeds, coconut oil, and unsweetened coconut milk.
So you get the sweet tropical flavor, but you’re also getting greens, fiber, healthy fats, and nutrients that help you start the day feeling good.
This is one of those smoothies that feels like a treat, but it’s still filled with ingredients that support your healthy habits.

Now let’s talk about one of the biggest smoothie questions:
What blender should you use?
If you’re going to make smoothies regularly, I do think a high-speed blender is worth it.
I personally love my Vitamix and have used it for years. It blends greens, frozen fruit, chia seeds, and everything else into a smooth, creamy texture.
A Ninja Blender is another good option if you want something powerful but a little more budget-friendly.
Check out my smoothie blender review for more information on the blenders I recommend - it's super helpful.
But please don’t feel like you can’t start unless you have a fancy blender.
If you’re using a basic blender, here’s my best tip:
Blend your greens and liquid first.
Add the spinach and coconut milk to the blender, blend until smooth, and then add the frozen fruit and the rest of the ingredients.
This helps break down the greens so you don’t end up with leafy chunks in your smoothie.
Because let’s be honest — nobody wants to chew their smoothie.
Here’s today’s shopping/tool tip:
If you’re looking to make smoothies part of your regular routine, a good blender makes a big difference.
You can start with what you have, but if you’re ready to upgrade, I’d look at:
Vitamix for a long-term investment
Ninja for a more budget-friendly high-powered option
Extra blender cups or containers if your blender brand offers them
A small spatula to scrape out thicker smoothies or smoothie bowls
The easier it is to blend, pour, and clean up, the more likely you are to stick with the habit. And that’s the whole point.
Healthy habits stick when they’re simple.
