Last week was kind of a weird week for me - for the first time in years (decades?) I was alone for several days without any kids at home. As you know, I have three graduated kiddos, and the two at home were away (one at a church camp and the other on an HXP trip to the Philippines).
I think my kids probably thought I spent all week wandering aimlessly and wondering what to do with myself without them here. 😜
Instead, I used every speck of time to try and get things crossed off my to-do list. In addition to daily life stuff around the house and property, my goal was to edit, write, and schedule all of June's recipe posts (I had made and photographed the recipes in May) since the next few weeks are incredibly busy with a son returning from a 2-year mission and other summer events.
(Sidenote: Brian was here, too, but he just returned from a 10-day trip to Brazil with his dad, and so he was also scrambling to get caught up on life and work and farm projects. We basically just waved to each other in passing every day and used the precious time to get stuff done. If that isn't a snapshot of being married to your best friend for 25 years, I don't know what is. 🤣)
I love feeling productive, but I'm glad to have at least one of my kids back home this week!
I hope you are having a great start to summer. Thanks for being here! 💗
