The meeting will be their first since the end of Trump's presidency, during which the two forged close ties, and comes at a time of strains between Netanyahu and President Joe Biden over Israel's war against Hamas militants in Gaza. This year's season started with a Florida resident-only day on July 14, with the catch open to all yesterday and today. Several rules are associated with the catch, and you can see them here. Officials check the size of each lobster once brought to the dock, and each person is allowed a total of six lobsters in Monroe County and Biscayne National Park and 12 in the rest of Florida. In Florida, a first conviction for violating lobster season rules can result in a fine of at least $100 and up to $500, up to 60 days in jail, or both. | State’s Population Hits Record High Florida’s population crossed the 23 million residents mark for the first time as of April 1 this year, according to state demographic estimates. The report says it’s due to the number of people moving from other states. Florida is the third most populous state in the U.S., trailing only California’s 39.5 million residents and Texas’ 30.5 million inhabitants. Florida added almost 359,000 people last year and has been adding about 350,000 to 375,000 people each year this decade, according to the estimates. The population growth is expected to peak this year and get smaller with each following year for the rest of the 2020s as the final cohort of baby boomers entering retirement gets smaller. | | | South Florida | ➤ Jupiter: Officials warn motorists that trains are no longer required to sound horns when approaching a crossing and to be extra cautious at intersections.
