Do you still have drivers who have training to do for their Driver CPC?

There is still time to book training if their DQC is due this September

Do you still have drivers who have training to do for their Driver CPC?

We wrote to you earlier in the year to encourage you to speak to any of your drivers about booking their training early if their driver qualification card is due to expire this September and they still have some of their hours to do.

Knowing how many hours your drivers have left, which courses are best for them to do and why there are so many drivers with cards running out at the same time can be confusing.

To help to answer all of these questions, we spoke to Bob Hannigan, Head of National Standards and Accreditation at DVSA, who has given us his thoughts in our latest blog post on Driver CPC training.

The planned reforms for a periodic test to replace the 35 hours of training have not come into force, so your drivers must make sure they complete their 35 hours of training through the current process before their cards expires. They can find out more details about this on GOV.UK.
