| Hi — The 2024 Summer Olympics have begun in Paris, France, and I'm celebrating by making a few of my favorite French recipes! These recipes are impressive and delicious but accessible for every skill level. These dishes are worthy of the gold medal! NICOISE SALAD. This classic French salad is one of my absolute favorites! It's full of hearty, flavorful ingredients and finished with a light, tangy dressing. One reader said: "Absolutely fabulous!"
FRENCH OMELETTE. Mastering a French omelette can be super intimidating! I've worked through all the kinks and am sharing my best tips to help you succeed. Erin's Top Tool Tip: To make a successful French omelette, you need a skillet that won't stick. Classically, a cast iron skillet is used, but I found that a nonstick skillet and silicone spatula worked the best.
TARTINES. This is a choose-your-own-adventure recipe! I'm sharing my go-to combinations, but you can customize these however you please. One reader said: "I'm so impressed with this recipe! It's surprisingly easy to make, yet it looks and tastes like something you'd get at a gourmet restaurant."
CHOCOLATE MERINGUE COOKIES. Of course, we can't forget a sweet treat! These cookies are light, airy, and insanely delicious. One reader said: "I have made these more times than I can count, and every time they have been absolutely divine. Light, airy, with a crazily addictive chew, but somehow still so satisfying and fulfilling."
KIR ROYALE. Fun, elegant, and refreshing, this cocktail is the perfect addition to any celebration. One reader said: "The balance between the sweetness of the crème de cassis and the crispness of the champagne is spot-on. Thank you for such a refreshing and delicious twist on a classic!"
SALMON MEUNIERE. Cooked in a dreamy pan sauce of butter, lemon, parsley, and capers, this salmon is guaranteed to impress! Ready in 20 minutes. One reader said: "This salmon is FABULOUS! Easy and luscious. Not a bite was left!"
CHICKEN FRICASSEE. This is French comfort food at its best! Delicious on its own or paired with rice or mashed potatoes. One reader said: "This recipe turned out amazing. The chicken was tender and moist. The depth of flavor that developed in the sauce made the dish."
SAVORY CREPES. Crepes are one of my favorite dishes to eat in France! Try my savory version, or use any of your favorite fillings. One reader said: "These turned out sooo good! Perfection!" Serving Tip from Erin: Serving a group of people? Pair these savory crepes with my sweet Strawberry Crepes to cover both taste preferences.
BEEF BOURGUIGNON. With fall-apart tender beef, vegetables, and a rich red wine sauce, this dish is swoon-worthy. Tastes impressive, but it's surprisingly simple to make! One reader said: "Your recipe for Beef Bourguignon is so, so good. I have now put this recipe in Family Favourites."
