Our weekend in Dublin, if you haven't been yet, it HAS to be done.
The weekend consisted of lots of Guinness, sunshine & live music, as well as some history, sightseeing, buskers, whisky & Taytos. An amazing 48 hours. Although I don't have a lot of food to blog about from our visit, I had to share and recommend Dublin as a place to visit.
Some things we did;
*Stayed at The Lansdowne Hotel (15-20 min walk from the centre); nice hotel and plenty of cafes, bars & restaurants nearby and in between.
*Walking Tour; Highlights & Hidden Gems of Dublin by Original Dublin - we really enjoyed this!
*Jameson Whiskey Distillery Tour with Tastings - again we enjoyed this and it was only about 2 hours so could do plenty more the same day, just across the river from Temple Bar area.
*Some bars we enjoyed; Bruxelles (also had good food here), Bar Rua, Cobblestone (doesn't look great from the outside but trust me you should visit!), Mary's Hardware, Bad Ass Temple Bar, Foley's Bar (bit rough but down to earth).
*Had a fabulous Irish breakfast at KC Peaches.
Overall we spent around £300 each for 2 nights/3 days and a pint was anywhere between €3.80 - €6.50.
