Learn More

A major focus of the release is to make it easier to browse data across surveys and programs in one easy view. For example, you can now access expanded Geography Profiles that cover about twice as much content as before. This allows you to explore key data, maps, and visualizations more easily across a variety of topics all in one view.

We also invite you to check out new Industry Profiles. These profiles, available at the state and national level, provide a broad look at data for any 2–6-digit North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code. To access an Industry Profile, run a search for a single NAICS code and up to one geography (nation or state), and then click the blue box on the "All" results page that says "Explore Data."

The release provides a new base map that has recognizable, color-coded features to help orient yourself. And finally, you will see a banner at the top of the screen to clarify 2020 Census Redistricting Data Public Law 94-171 releases. The data are currently available on the FTP site and will be coming to data.census.gov by the end of September. Stay tuned for an upcoming webinar on how to access these data.
