Hi reader, Welcome back to the Sally's Baking Addiction monthly newsletter. And hello, Fall! This is my favorite time of year for baking and I have plenty to share this season. Before I send out new October recipes, let's take a look at some of September's highlights. Reader Favorite Recipe from September
No surprise here! 🎃 This easy pumpkin bread has been a personal and fan favorite for 7 years due to it's incredibly moist texture and the fact that it's packed with real pumpkin and pumpkin spice flavors. It's wonderful on its own or with the addition of chocolate chips. One reader said: "This is hands down the most delicious pumpkin bread I've ever had! I added chopped walnuts but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Two things really strike me with this recipe: the wonderful moistness that persists for days. It was as good on the 4th day as on the first. Maybe better. And the pleasant bite of the cinnamon. I'm definitely making this again. ★★★★★" - Penny Recipes Published in SeptemberIn addition to the new recipes listed below, I also added new photos of Iced Pumpkin Crumb Cake. (You can click here to receive email updates whenever a new recipe is published.)

About the Soft Pretzel Knots, 2 participants said: "I think this may have been my favorite challenge yet! The recipe made it so easy to get the pretzel knots just right. I've always been so intimidated by pretzels, but this was fun. My kids loved rolling and tying the knots too. We devoured them with Sally's Spicy Nacho Cheese Sauce. Delicious! ★★★★★" - Marisa "Today I tackled the September challenge. I was so happy with how easy this recipe was. Anything bread usually puts me on edge. Not only did the video tutorial and step by step instructions help put me at ease but they gave me the confidence I needed while completing my first attempt at making pretzels. A quick bake to make while my little napped. Thank you! ★★★★★" - Abby Here's What You've Been BakingMy team and I love seeing my recipes in your kitchen. And, of course, a slew of brown butter pumpkin oatmeal cookies in your kitchen, even a batch made by celebrity Jennifer Garner! Hope you try these soon, they've been a massive hit since 2016! And Here's What I've Been Baking
I baked a lot in September, but my family's favorite recipe was-- hands down-- these itty bitty pretzels. I updated the photos on this older post, simplified the instructions, and even added a new video tutorial. 6 ingredient dough and hardly any rise time. Spotlight Recipe Review 🎉
"This is a moist and delicious spice cake! I like the addition of applesauce and grated apple, it gave an extra kick of flavor! Easy to make, and I had all of the ingredients on hand. I didn't make the cream cheese icing, I dusted with powdered sugar and topped with a dollop of whipped cream. Awesome recipe!★★★★★" - Gretchen Looking Ahead to October
