The Opportunity Project and U.S. Census Bureau are partnering with NYC Open Data Week to bring you a variety of events and programs that look at various applications and impacts of open data in New York City. There are a variety of events ongoing throughout the week of March 6th - 14th. Join us for the following events: Democratizing Data: The Opportunity Project Data Curation Hub Wednesday March 10th, 4:00 - 4:30pm EST A product showcase of The Opportunity Project Data Curation Hub, which democratizes access to open data, making it easier to find, understand and use. Putting Open Data to Work for COVID-19 Economic Recovery Thursday March 11th, 2:00 - 3:30pm EST An interactive workshop focusing used on utilizing open data for COVID-19 economic recovery in New York City. Join this workshop to learn from Census data experts, present the most significant challenges affecting New Yorkers, and ideate on potential solutions with various collaborators. The Opportunity Project: Using Open Data and Technology for Good Friday March 12th, 11:00am - 12:00pm EST Join this talk to learn about how The Opportunity Project is scaling data innovation in the federal government, hear case studies on successful products that have impacted communities around the country, and how community building is one of the core tenets of this program. This talk will be followed by Q&A. |
