⭐️NEW⭐️ Korean Curry Rice + 🌸Fresh Flower Pancake for Spring!

Hi there!

Do you like Curry? How about Korean Curry?

I LOVE all kinds of curry, Indian, Thai, Japanese.. but I have a special place in my heart and tummy for Korean Curry. ❤️ It's soo simple to make and sooo good with kimchi and my other favorite side dishes.

I just published my Korean Curry Rice recipe. Yes, it does use a store bought curry mix but I share tips and know how that will help you enjoy the BEST version of the Korean Curry. I also share what brand is my favorite so please visit!

One of the special things I did this week was to make some Hwajeon 화전 - Korean Fresh Flower 🌸Pancake that Koreans enjoy making in the spring - with wild edible flowers that can be found in the Korean hills. But I'm not in Korea and I was recently gifted with some pretty edible flowers so I decided to make some Hwajeon with them. Follow me on IG @kimchimari, I will be sharing a video of how I made them!

It was soo fun and I almost forgot how simple and yummy they were! I will have to make them more often. I also updated the recipe with new tips and pictures so I hope you check it out!

BTW, this is GF and Vegan.

Haven't made Jangjorim in a while and I'm so glad I made it. I like to make Jangjorim and not just have it as a side dish but sometimes as a main dish for lunch by making a rice bowl with it or even for dinner with some good soup and kimchi.

We have a family birthday this week and the requested dish is this one. 🎂 I love making this because it's something the family can all cook together, enjoy it as we fry them at the table and above all, it's just really yummy.

This is not a common dish so you probably may not have had it but believe me, if you like beef and you can get it thinly sliced then this is a MUST TRY.

It's thin bulgogi meat coated with sweet rice flour, pan-fried in sesame oil then each person adds a bunch of sliced green onions then dips it in honey mustard soy sauce. It's to die for.

These are potato pancakes made with purple potatoes but you can totally make them with any kind of potatoes. Just grate them or use a chopper then add some flour, seasoning and pan-fry them.

Soo yummy as an appetizer, side dish but my favorite - as Anju with Makgeolli. (Guide to makgeolli, Makgeolli Recipe)

Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Don't want to grate potatoes? Then here's another version -

my daughter's favorite. You slice potatoes, pre-cook it a little, coat it in simple flour batter and pan-fry it till golden brown. Dip it in soy sauce and oh my.. this is so tasty.

Ok, now we need some Gukmul (국물 - soup water.. lol). Here's a clean tasting Spicy Zucchini Stew with Gochujang. The recipe is made with just anchovy broth but if you want to make it more hearty, just add some beef or pork to it and that's also good too.
