| New report: Variant COVID-19 strains by county Our website's County Data section now includes COVID-19 variants identified in Mississippi, including B.1.1.7 (U.K. variant) and B.1.351 (South African variant). Eligibility: All Mississippians aged 16 or older are now eligible for vaccination. Those 18 and older may be vaccinated at MSDH drive-through sites; persons aged 16-17 should visit a private healthcare provider to be assured of receiving a vaccine approved for their age group.
