Ever wonder how to use leftovers? Here is your simple solution!

Dear reader,

In the Crumbs house, our lunches and snacks are usually leftovers from dinner the night before.

Of course, our dinner time favorites, like minestrone soup or homemade pizza, are the most popular lunches, but we use ALL of our leftovers - no matter what we had on the meal plan.

Why?

Well, if you know me, you know that I cannot stand throwing food away, because it's throwing money away. Plain and simple.

Ahhhh, but I am aware that there are some people who just don't care for leftovers.

So, aside from making lunches and snacks out of leftovers, you might wonder what else you can do with all of the leftovers on your meal plan

Well, I've got some tricks up my sleeve when it comes to using leftovers in a meal plan. Here are a couple examples...

You'll have maple glazed pork chops for Friday, so plan to make leftover pork and potato soup for the weekend. Voila! It's a strategic way to plan for leftovers.

Or, say you'll have leftover black beans from one night and sweet potatoes from another…

Plan to use both of them to make sweet potato & black bean enchiladas at the end of your week.

Enjoy these time-saving strategies to make your weeks easier and your meals more affordable!

Blessings,
