Ranchers graze their livestock in the open country in the American West.  The plants that feed these livestock are the foundation of profitable agriculture there. But ranchers haven't had a good way to measure how their grass is faring — until now. USDA and its partners developed the Rangeland Analysis Platform (RAP) to track changes in the amount and types of plants growing on a rancher's property.  Learn more.
