Latest updates to Companies House services

We've rounded up all the latest updates as we continue to maintain services for our customers and protect the welfare of our employees in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

File online to avoid delays

We have reduced numbers in our offices following government coronavirus guidance and many of our staff are subject to local restrictions.

It's taking much longer than usual to process paper documents, forms and letters sent to us by post.

You should use our online services to make sure your information is processed on time. See a full list of Companies House documents you can file online, and visit our YouTube channel to see all of our how to videos

We've also developed a service to Upload a document to Companies House instead of sending a paper document by post.

Diversity and inclusion

We've launched a diversity and inclusion campaign which showcases our commitment to supporting equality and diversity, both within the organisation and the wider UK business community.

The campaign has been showcasing our staff networks, which help us to understand the needs of underrepresented groups in Companies House.

Catch up with all the stories from the campaign on our blog.

Changes ahead: Act now

The UK has left the EU and new rules for business with the EU start in January 2021. The transition period will end on 31 December 2020 and will not be extended. While the government continues to negotiate with the European Union, there are actions your business can take now.

Watch this video to find out what 2021 will mean for your business.

Use the transition checker tool for a personalised summary of the actions you need to take.

You can also stay up to date with the latest developments by signing up to receive a weekly email bulletin and attending a business sector webinar.
