Today, Halloween has evolved into a celebration characterized by child-friendly activities like trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, and dressing in costumes.  Learn More Did You Know? We appreciate the information shared by each respondent as we continuously count and measure America's people, places and economy. 41.0 million The estimated number of potential trick-or-treaters in 2019 — children ages 5 to 14.  126.8 million The number of potential stops for trick-or-treaters to occupied housing units for the second quarter of 2020. 57.4 million The number of housing units with steps trick-or-treaters had to climb steps to fill their bags with goodies in 2019.
