What's New

Celebrate Halloween Safely

Have a spooky and safe Halloween. StaySafeMN

Let's keep Halloween safe this year! Keep in mind that anytime you gather with people you do not live with, the risk of infection increases for everyone. Plan on doing a lower risk activity this year: carve or decorate pumpkins, watch Halloween movies, or organize a virtual costume contest!

Remember: a Halloween costume mask isn't a substitute for a cloth face mask. The best face masks have two layers of fabric and cover your nose and mouth. We don't recommend wearing a cloth face mask under a costume mask because it might be difficult to breathe.

For more ideas and information, visit Safe Holiday Celebrations during COVID-19.

Safe Voting

When you're headed to the polls on Election Day or even voting early, remember to wear a mask, use hand sanitizer, and stay at least 6 feet apart from others at the polling location. If possible, vote at off-peak times to avoid crowds.

If you need to stay home because you are sick or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, you can still vote. See Minnesota Secretary of State - 2020 Elections and COVID-19 for your options, including curbside voting and having someone bring you your ballot.

Visit Safe Voting: COVID-19 for more tips and resources.
