Thai is one of my favorite cuisines to order in. Something about the balance of fresh, tangy, sweet, and spiced flavors is absolutely irresistible. I find myself craving it most weeks. So rather than blowing my food budget on ordering veggie rolls and pad Thai, I’ve learned to make my favorite dishes at home.
As long as you have a few key ingredients, homemade Thai food is easier than you might think. Some signature ingredients that you may not already have in your pantry are fish sauce, Thai chilies (aka bird’s eye chilies), Thai basil, and coconut milk. If you keep these ingredients on hand, it is easy to throw together a classic Thai dinner when the craving hits. Check out some of my family’s most-loved recipes below!
